87-928

Here's the car that replaced the '86.. An almost perfect condition '87 5spd in Diamond Blue Metallic. The car had 63k miles when we bought it and had spent its entire life in a heated garage and was driven occasionally in the summer but never when it rained. The PPI and all documentation made me comfortable with purchasing a car from Minnesota, sight unseen.. Little did I know then.... So far I've replaced the front rotors, brake pads, timing belt, water pump, radiator, all of the belts, most of the hoses, filters, power steering pump... Upgraded the wheels to C2's with Bridgestone RE730's (got about 600 miles on the Pirelli PZero's before retiring them..), upgraded the front Swaybar with a Devek Heavy Swaybar, put in a Recaro SRD seat, MOMO steering wheel and shifter, Devek RMB.. Next will be the suspension..

Here's the changing of the guard.. For a while we had a two Porsche driveway! I think I must have had too much coffee, man.

On June 30th, on a trip to Watkin's Glen in New York, we had a blow out of the driver's side rear tire while on the MassPike. Surprisingly, the car handled it very well - just felt a little bit sluggish. Finding a replacement tire at 6pm on Friday in Albany was tough. We ended up getting a pair of Pirelli P-Zero's at Sear's.. 550 dollars later we were on our way again.

Clipped by a pickup truck.. Spent almost two months getting a new quarter panel (thanks, Devek!) and rear bumper. The only way you can tell now is the new quarterpanel has less wear!
